Nothingness

“Hidden Longings Yet to Be Fulfilled”

Streaming ejaculations of consciousness,
Circulate through late night hours in cafes and bars;
Being and nothingness evident,
In faces seeking momentary relief;
Voluminous, irrelevant pontifications,
Encouraged by intoxication;
A plethora of dialogue punctuated by semicolons,
Like fervent geysers spouting vaporous steam;
Cold, blank dispassionate eyes that scream,
The need for love but cannot speak its name;
Fading into the misty light of dawn.
