The beauty of Toronto is seen in the faces,
Of a multitude of nations represented by many races,
They left behind poverty, dictators and civil wars,
To make a home in a city that so graciously opened its doors,
And though we are growing, we still have maintained,
The humanity and kindness that has always sustained,
Generations who came to make their name,
In Toronto, the Beautiful!

The beauty of Toronto is seen in its’ cuisine,
From Italian, Greek and Chinese to Jamaican,
From Sri Lankan, Spanish and Thai to East Indian,
To name just a few of the cultures that are now Canadian,
And though we are growing, we still have maintained,
A delight in exploring the foods that always sustained,
Those who came to make a new home,
In Toronto, the Beautiful!

The beauty of Toronto is seen in the places,
Of a city landscape that is green and spacious,
The lack of ghettos and segregated spaces,
A glorious testimony to the tolerance among its many races,
And though we are growing, we still have maintained,
An attitude of fair play and peace-loving that has sustained,
The hearts of its people throughout the ages,
In Toronto, the Beautiful!

So let us cherish this dear city that like the CN Tower stands,
As a grand testimony of multicultural harmony across its lands,
Let us protect its natural resources so our children may inherit,
The beauty of a city that certainly earns our merit,
And let us not take for granted this cities’ worldview,
Of the people it embraces, from times past and the new,
Rather, let us preserve the goodness of today,
So that all people may forever truly say,
Toronto, is Beautiful!
