Soul Murmurs

“Soul Murmurs That Lead To Living Waters”

In the still of the night,
The voice of the Spirit may be heard,
Speaking the language of divine love,
In soft tones and muffled words,
You long for in the brightness of day.
Sometimes it is awakened,
In the embrace of a lover;
Sometimes it is felt,
In the midst of nature’s bower;
Sometimes in a touch or kiss,
Gently placed on a tired brow;
One can never predict,
When He may speak,
But His voice moves you into the deep,
Places of unquenchable thirst,
Where having drunk of His living waters,
You thirst to drink again,
Waiting impatiently for His murmurs,
In the still of the night!

He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.  (John 7:38 – NKJV)
O God, you are my God; early will I seek You, my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You; in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.  ( Psalm 63:1 – NKJV)
